7 Mindfulness Tips For Unblocking Chakras

Often, when something is lacking in life, it might be an issue with energy distribution in your body. The seven Chakras in your body distribute energy, however imbalances can sometimes occur. These occur when the Chakras are not supplied with enough energy, or when they become out of balance. No matter which imbalance is present, whatever is happening on an energy level within you, starts to show in your life.

For example, have you been dealing with negative emotions lately? Do you feel tired and lethargic? Or do you feel anxious?

There is no time like the present to explore the possibility of restoring balance to your Chakras. This is why today I’m sharing some mindfulness tips on restoring balance to each Chakra that might be out of balance.

1. The Root Chakra

To build yourself up and grow as a person, you have to have a strong solid foundation first. Since it is the center of grounding, when the Root Chakra is in balance you are surrounded with a feeling of safety and security. However, when the Root Chakra is out of balance, that sense of security is gone, and the most common emotion you will feel is fear.

Mindfulness Tip for Balancing Your Root Chakra: Seeing The Bigger Picture

The root of all irrational fears is focusing too much on the smaller details and blowing things out of proportion. Instead of letting your focus drift from detail to detail, take a few moments to see the bigger picture. Ask yourself:

“Will my fears now be still important in five years? Ten years?”

Focus on being more realistic, on the facts that you have and can control, instead of possible outcomes. If you feel like you can’t focus and still can’t see the bigger picture, then we recommend that you use a Garnet stone to help you re-balance your Root Chakra. A great option is our Natural Garnet Lotus Mala.

2. The Sacral Chakra

The second Chakra, located below the belly button, is the Sacral Chakra. When your Sacral Chakra is balanced, you will find yourself being more creative and overall more joyful in life. When your Sacral Chakra is out of balance, the most common emotion that you will be facing is guilt.

Mindfulness Tip for Balancing Your Sacral Chakra: Acknowledgment

When dealing with guilt, one of the first instincts you have is to let guilt overtake you, or to repress it. However, if you want to restore the balance of your Sacral Chakra, you have to acknowledge your guilt. Let yourself focus on what makes you feel guilty, and acknowledge that you have made a mistake. After all, you can’t grow without making mistakes along the way. Once you have acknowledged your mistakes and feelings, you can learn from them, and transform them into an energy that will help you push forward in life.

If you feel like you need extra help in dealing with your feelings or to restore balance in your Sacral Chakra, a great option is a Carnelian product. You might find using my Natural Carnelian Lotus Mala on a daily basis very helpful!

3. The Solar Plexus Chakra

The third Chakra is the center of your personal power and self-worth. When the Solar Plexus Chakra is balanced, you will have healthy self-esteem, ambition, and energy to push forward in life. However, when the Solar Plexus Chakra is out of balance the most common emotion that you will be feeling is anger.

Mindfulness Tip for Balancing Your Solar Plexus Chakra: Mindful Breathing

Anger can be quite a difficult emotion to deal with, but a simple mindful breathing exercise can help you reduce your anger levels. Whenever you feel that your anger will just keep growing until it gets out of control, take five minutes away from whatever you are doing and take a few deep breaths. Bring your complete focus on your breath, and feel yourself getting calmer with each breath you take.

If you feel like you need more help, then we recommend that you use my Natural Citrine Mala to help you re-balance your Solar Plexus Chakra.

4. Heart Chakra

The fourth chakra is the center of all aspects of love in your life. When the Heart Chakra is balanced you will feel loved, more compassionate, and give the love you receive. However, when the Heart Chakra is out of balance, grief and sadness can easily overtake you.

Mindfulness Tip for Balancing Your Heart Chakra: Awakening Self-Love

When you are overwhelmed by emotions of sadness, it’s a sign to give yourself the love that you deserve. Set some time for yourself every day to take care of yourself. The simplest habit that you can develop is to take a nice, long mindful bath, where you will let the water purify you of all the sadness. To boost our self-love, I like to take our mindful baths with my Natural Rose Quartz Buddha Mala, or even my Natural Rose Quartz Bracelets. Wearing these beautiful items on a daily basis will also help you absorb the love energy that Rose Quartz emits, helping you re-balance your Heart Chakra.

6. Throat Chakra

The Throat Chakra is the energy center that helps you to express yourself to the world. Self-expression is a very important aspect in life because through self-expression you can be understood by others. Whenever the Throat Chakra is out of balance, you will find it hard to express yourself, and even when you do so, you will often be misunderstood and frustrated.

Mindfulness Tip for Balancing Your Throat Chakra: The Power Of Mantra

The best way to bring your Throat Chakra back to balance is to use a powerful mantra. To deepen the connection with the Throat Chakra, use my Natural Blue Chalcedony Lotus Mala, and as you touch each mala bead chant “Om” (pronounced “Ohm”). Blue Chalcedony is excellent for stimulating the Throat Chakra, allowing for free expression of what we think and feel.

6. Third Eye Chakra

The Third Eye Chakra is the chakra of perception and knowledge. When it's balanced, you will be using the knowledge that you have accumulated optimally, making the right decisions in life. However, when the Third Eye is out of balance your perception will often be clouded, and you will make wrong decisions when you should’ve known better. As a result of that, you will be prone to escaping reality through constantly daydreaming.

Mindfulness Tip For Balancing Your Third Eye Chakra: Mindful Walk

To return your Third Eye Chakra to balance, the simplest thing that you can do is pull yourself back to reality. Take a walk every day for at least thirty minutes, and during your walk pay attention to the smallest details. Try to take notice of how the leaves move as the wind swiftly blows, or how the flowers bloom a little more every day that you pass by them. To sharpen your focus and connect with your Third Eye Chakra, I recommend that use Labradorite. It is considered the stone of transformation because it balances all 7 Chakras and especially stimulates and awakens the Third Eye Chakra. I have a lovely Natural Labradorite Om Mala that will help you focus on re-activating your Third Eye Chakra.

7. Crown Chakra

The Crown Chakra is the chakra that harnesses your connection with the universe, and your purpose in life. When your Crown Chakra is properly balanced, you will feel joyful fulfillment in life. However, when blocked, you might feel like you are drifting through life without a purpose, ultimately leading to boredom and depression.

Mindfulness Tip for Balancing Your Crown Chakra: Meditate

The most effective way to restore the balance in your Crown Chakra and get rid of depression in your life is to start a simple habit of meditating daily. You can do something as simple as mindfulness meditation, or look for a more specific Crown Chakra meditation. Whichever you choose, to connect more easily to your Crown Chakra, I recommend that you use Amethyst during your meditation. In Tibet, Amethyst is considered sacred by Buddha due to its ability to activate and balance the Third Eye and Crown Chakra. Amethyst is possibly one of the best crystals for activating the Crown Chakra by guiding the mind toward deeper understanding. Use my Natural Amethyst and Chrysocolla Lotus Mala or my Natural Amethyst Lotus Mala to help stimulate your Crown Chakra!

  • Hi Shyamala,

Thank you so much for your kinds words! It means a lot to me.

The 7 chakra bracelet is a great option for balancing all of your chakras.

You don’t necessarily need 1 individual Mala for each Chakra.

However, if you notice that one particular Chakra feels really out of balance, it is beneficial to treat it separately as well. If this is the case, use another Mala made of a specific stone or crystal that is particularily good at re-aligning the affected Chakra.

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks,
    Victoria
